What's it like shooting film photography educational content at Reformed Film Lab? Today Vanessa takes to the Florida heat as she documents the scan team creating their Kodak Ektar 100 review video. Fair warning: Silliness ensues!
I find it fun shooting with film. I have a Canon A1 that I had kept for 22 yrs without touching it. I was raising my two kids with my late wife and raising our family. Lo and behold my A1 stood the test of time. Luckily, the battery did not leak. I had lots of desicants packs in my camera bag so I think that preserved the camera. Still in mint condition because I took good care of it back in the day. Although I have a Nikon D850 and a Pentax K5 II, shooting with film is a lot fun. I had expired BE film for 12 yrs which were kept in the freezer. I shot with them using pushing and pulling techniques. The images were stunning. Film gets the creativity out of the photographer. As we say in Kameradare my camera club many moons ago; “When it’s dark something develops!” and "We love the dark ". Copyrighted slogans of Kameradare Camera Club.
